I honestly can’t tell what direction the Lakers are headed. In the last two games coach Mike D’Antoni has started:
G – Kendall Marshall
G – Jodie Meeks
F – Wesley Johnson
F – Ryan Kelly
C – Pau Gasol
The top four players above have scored 5,068 career NBA points…combined. Michael Beasley alone has scored more points and he just turned 25.
Despite this major experience deficit, L.A. combined to outscore their last two opponents (both road games vs. Toronto and Chicago). Gasol has played very well in these two games (averaging 21 points & 14 rebounds). Nick Young has really stepped up off the bench going for 60 points on only 36 shot attempts.
Since the Lakers are ten games under .500 should D’Antoni stick with the current starting lineup and see what they have going into 2015?
