The Los Angeles Lakers win over the Hornets last night was another example of their ordinary performance.
LA dominated New Orleans on the glass out-rebounding them 50-37. LA also made 2 more free throws than the Hornets while shooting a sparkling 57% eFG. On the flip side, the Lakers turnover deficit problem continued against the visitors (-5 turns).
This time Dwight Howard played his best position of All-Pro free safety intercepting 5 passes and knocking down 4 shots on the night. Ironically the offensive star of the game Earl Clark led the Lakers turnover woes with 6 mishandles.
Hornets guard Greivis Vasquez had the run of the Staples Center dishing out 15 assists and committing just one turnover.
The Lakers have the talent to win playoff series but in order to win games night-after-night while losing the turnover battle D’Antoni’s boys have to play perfect ball.
